COVID-19 Daily Self-health Checklist for On-Site Students and Employees

Dear Terra State Titans,

As we are concluding the second week of classes, we would like to remind everyone of the symptoms associated with COVID-19.  Although these symptoms can sometimes appear to be minor, it is still important to administer daily self-health checks.  We are also approaching cold and flu season, which can make it more difficult to determine if symptoms are related to a common cold or COVID-19.

If any member of the Titans family is not feeling well or is demonstrating one or more of the following symptoms, please stay home!  This is the safest and easiest method to avoid potentially exposing others.

One (1) of the following symptoms:

  • cough
  • fever
  • shortness of breath
  • difficulty breathing

Two (2) or more of the following symptoms:

  • chills/shivering
  • muscle pain
  • headache
  • sore throat
  • loss of sense of smell/taste
  • congestion/runny nose
  • nausea
  • vomiting
  • diarrhea

If the person showing symptoms is a student, please send them home, recommend that they consult their health care provider, and communicate this information to COVID@terra.edu.  In addition, if the person showing symptoms is an employee please tell your supervisor.

If employees, students or someone with whom they live is experiencing symptoms and/or has had close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, they must:

  1. STAY HOME (remain in their home or residence hall room – do not come to campus) and self-quarantine.
  2. Immediately notify Terra State by emailing COVID@terra.edu, and include the following information:
    • First and Last Name
    • Phone number
    • Details regarding their situation, including specific dates of contact, times and location

Together we are working hard to protect each other’s health. Feel free to contact COVID@terra.edu for further guidance.

Sincerely,
President Schumacher and the Leadership Team

#15tofinish

Have you thought about adding one more class to your fall schedule to help save money, get better grades, and stay on track to graduate?

15 is the number of credits you need to take each semester to graduate on time!

Statistics show that students who earn 15 credits per semester are more likely to finish college on time and earn better grades.

Of course, you can take less and still receive scholarships and funding. But taking 15 credits a semester (or 30 credits a year) accelerates your graduation, saves money overall, and increases your chances of achieving your personal and professional goals. Contact your Advisor today to schedule an appointment to discuss your options at 419.559.2345. Learn more at https://completecollege.org/strategy/15-to-finish/.
