Check the COVID-19 page for constant updates

To help ensure you have the necessary resources to complete your Spring 2020 coursework, the recently passed CARES Act (Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act) provides emergency financial aid grant for expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to coronavirus. Emergency financial aid grant funding can be requested to cover Food, Housing, Transportation, Course Materials, Technology, Health Care and Child Care.

To qualify to request emergency financial aid grant funding, you must have been enrolled at Terra State Community College (credit or non-credit) for spring semester 2020 and eligible for participation in Section 484 of the Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 (possess U.S. citizenship or be an eligible noncitizen; have a valid Social Security number; be registered with Selective Service [if the student is male]; and possess a high school diploma / GED / completion of high school in an approved homeschool setting). Funds will be distributed according to a variety of factors including determined need and consideration of special circumstances.

You may submit multiple requests during the duration of the emergency, but funding is limited. You are encouraged to include as many of the allowable expenses which apply in your initial request, and include documentation as available.

The campus bookstore will now be open Monday through Thursday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. In addition, there will be a few modifications put in place:

  • All students will be required to use the store's exterior entrance on the south side of Building B
  • Students are not allowed in the main atrium of Building B
  • Students will not be required to sign in/sign out when using the outside entrance
  • We will require the use of mask while in the store
  • Patrons must keep their social distancing by maintaining 6' spacing

Title IV Consent Completion Reminder

Do you have your Title IV Consent completed so that it clears your account charges (ex: tuition/fees, Installment Payment Plan, housing charges, etc.) if you have Financial Aid?  Find it on Banner Self Service > Student Tab > Student account > left side forms, Title IV Consent.  If you did the Transfer of Excess Financial Aid for your book voucher, you already completed the Title IV Consent.

Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) provides career counseling that helps students with disabilities identify a solid career path. To support the students along the way, OOD also provides:

Degree Evaluation Feature

The College is pleased to announce that the CAPP Degree Evaluation Feature is now available in Banner Self-Service. CAPP is the acronym for Curriculum, Advising, and Program Planning and it tracks your progress toward completion of your degree requirements. CAPP searches through in-progress courses, transfer credit, and courses taken at Terra State to find courses that match your degree requirements. Your evaluation can be generated and viewed at any time by using the attached instructions.

FAFSA available

This is to remind you that if you can apply for federal student aid for the school year. Go to, select "Start Here" to login. You will be given the option to complete a FAFSA renewal that has much of your application data from last year. If you have not filed taxes, just select will file and use estimated tax information. You can then use the IRS data retrieval tool after you have filed your taxes to avoid turning in your tax documents to the Financial Aid Office!

How to submit authorization to transfer excess financial aid to your Terra State ID card for book vouchers

Book vouchers will be available to use in the CollegeStore beginning May 4 through July 7, 2020. Please be sure to submit your authorization early - these must be completed by 11:59 p.m. to be available the next business day at noon.

Banner Self-Service Registration 

The College is in the process of transitioning to a new student information system. Students will be asked to use Banner Self-Service (new system) to register for summer and fall courses. Students are encouraged to meet with an academic and career advisor prior to registering for summer or fall courses. To schedule an advising appointment please call 419.559.2349.
